Monday - Thursday
3:30 pm - 2 am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment to produce acceptable quality products.
- Receive instructions, prints, and route sheets for jobs and organize operational duties for the assigned shift.
- Perform first piece and continual inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as directed by Quality Assurance or the supervisor.
- Visually inspect products continually, record production, report/record scrap, and perform various duties or rework as assigned.
- Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure efficiency and adherence to company welding standards.
- Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, ensuring equipment and production areas are in good working order.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, handheld grinders, and other department equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
Skills and Experience:
- Must be qualified and hold a Certified Welder's job or its equivalent, or be certified by a technical institute.
- Pass the AWS Certification Test per Company Welding Policy and/or any other certifications required for the assigned welding level.
- Continuing employment is contingent upon successful completion of required training/certification test program.
- Proficient in using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Perform SPC procedures and tests, interpret findings, and make appropriate process changes.
- Navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) effectively.
- Highly motivated and willing to solve problems.
