Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Location: Gates, NY

Summary: Join a precision-driven manufacturing team as a CNC Machine Operator, where you'll work with a variety of manual and CNC lathe/mill machines to produce high-quality parts. In this role, you'll be accountable for producing complex components to tight tolerances, ensuring quality through the use of precision measuring instruments, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with conversion likely after 6 months. We're hiring for all three shifts, offering competitive pay and the chance to grow in a stable, team-oriented environment. Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Pay:

  • $17.00 – $23.00 per hour , based on experience

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate various manual and CNC lathe/mill machines according to work instructions.

  • Manufacture complex parts and monitor product quality during production runs.

  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.

  • Work within tight tolerances per blueprints and control plans.

  • Maintain clean and organized workstations while following all safety protocols.

  • Demonstrate proper machine operation and maintain safety awareness throughout each shift.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Edit machine offsets and perform tool changes as needed.

  • Participate in special projects and support other areas of operation as required.

  • Assist with additional duties or assignments across departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a machine shop environment.

  • Proficient with G-code and M-code.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused attitude.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and use hands for extended periods.

  • Frequently required to reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision and color recognition.

  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels depending on the task.

  • Ability to solve practical problems in a production setting with limited standardization.
