Shift: 5:00am to 1:30pm Monday-Friday (overtime based upon production needs)
SUMMARY
Drives industrial truck equipped with a lifting device such as forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
ORGANIZED WORK ENVIRONMENT. Keeps work station and area around work station including production floor, container storage, scrap storage and WIP storage neat and orderly to ensure that the oncoming shift has an easy start up.
QUALITY INSPECTION AND RECORD KEEPING. Understands and follows all quality instructions, work instructions and procedures. Accurately and legibly records information on quality and production related paperwork. Completes forklift checklist at the beginning of shift. Inspects forklift and other equipment needed to perform daily tasks and reports faulty equipment and related problems to supervisor in a timely manner.
SAFETY. Understands and properly use all safety devices and equipment at all times.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS (In addition to the above)
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
Replaces liquefied gas tank or recharges battery.
Completes hi lo check sheet every day at the beginning of shift.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
OTHER SKILLS
Must be able to pass written test and demonstrate proficiency driving a hilo.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Initiation of action may include: stopping production, recording quality problems and reporting quality concerns directly to a supervisor.
