Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Lead Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, leading a team of production workers, and ensuring that manufacturing goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost are met. This position plays a key role in coordinating workflow, enforcing safety policies, resolving issues on the floor, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead production teams to meet daily output targets.

Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company standards.

Train, coach, and evaluate performance of production workers.

Monitor equipment and production processes to detect problems early.

Coordinate schedules and workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve production issues.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management.

Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).

Maintain accurate documentation, including production records, training logs, and incident reports.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of production operations and manufacturing safety practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of ERP or MRP systems.

Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Technical certifications related to manufacturing or supervisory training.
