Material Handler Class 1
2nd shift 2:30PM to 11:00 PM\

DESCRIPTION
Utilize your logistics expertise and be part of handling a variety of logistics issues in a manufacturing environment. You will assist in the daily logistics operations to ensure availability of critical parts and materials. You will follow standard work and operating procedures to ensure those duties are fulfilled and goals are met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, verification, accuracy, and reporting on incoming and outgoing materials for appropriate job orders within varied departments, collaboration between teams and safe moving and staging of materials to the appropriate locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify accuracy, quality and quantity of incoming/outgoing materials and stage appropriately.
• Properly size skids and dunnage to support assembly and ensure ease of loading and unloading.
• An ability to safely operate saws, pneumatic nail guns, metal banders, and fasteners to build, load and secure customized skids to transport materials.
• An ability to label document each item as shipping BOM or Sales Order and report all materials, dimensions and weight appropriately.
• Promptly and accurately identify, locate and process materials for job orders.
• Maintain, replenish and account for all inventory of materials.
• Process, bar code, maintain and replenish all inventory of materials and communicate discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory and maintain condition of materials.
• Collaborate with departments to locate missing materials and correct and replace damaged materials.
• Coordinate with shipping clerk to accurately depict the make-up of the load as well as its contents.
• Perform last look inspection for quality and/or damage prior to shipment.
• Safe operation of the forklift, scissor lift and all other life assist and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

YOU MUST HAVE

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
• Technical education is a plus.
• Computer literacy.
• An ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
• Mathematical ability and experience using hand tools and a tape measure.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting at least 40 pounds.
