Nesco has partnered with a vehicle company in Grove City seeking Assemblers to join their team!

Mechanic- Grove City, OH

Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee the receipt and inspection of dealer-supplied chassis. Manage key assignment, vehicle identification, and all chassis control-related tasks. Coordinate activities related to chassis modifications and suspension programs, including Monroe and Liquid Spring systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate suspension system programs (Liquid Spring and Monroe).

• Support and assist with chassis modifications, working closely with the Mounting Supervisor.

• Assist in administering the company's welding certification program, including conducting tests as needed.

• Maintain effective working relationships across departments and teams.

• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

• Oversee key management and vehicle assignment processes.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Ohio driver's license required.

• Basic proficiency in the use of pneumatic and power tools.

• Familiarity with safe tool operation, including drills, screw guns, sanders, and jigsaws.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Skilled in setting work priorities and managing tasks independently.

• Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High attention to detail.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and reach regularly during work hours.

• Frequent use of hands for handling tools and equipment.

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds occasionally.

• Visual requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

• Must be comfortable working with arms raised overhead.

Work Environment:

• Temperature range on the production floor: 40°F to 100°F, with high humidity possible.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required or Recommended:

• Safety glasses or prescription safety glasses with side shields

• Face shields

• Ear protection (earplugs)

• Work gloves

• Steel-toe footwear
