Lead Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Mechanic to support daily operations by maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment. This hands-on role includes supervising a Maintenance Technician and ensuring all systems run efficiently across a two-shift operation.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, including vertical mills, screw machines, and lathes

Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records of work performed

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery to ensure proper function

Coordinate with production leaders to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance

Supervise a Maintenance Technician and help prioritize daily tasks

Work with external contractors when needed for breakdowns or special projects

Support facility maintenance including HVAC, compressors, smog hogs, ultrasonic washers, ovens, and more

Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work

Ensure all safety protocols are followed and assist with maintaining a clean, safe workplace

Operate forklifts and platform lifts (certification preferred)
Requirements:

5 years of hands-on maintenance experience with CNC machinery

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose a variety of equipment and facility issues

Experience leading or training maintenance staff is a plus

Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and a team player
Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Additional technical training or certifications in maintenance or machinery preferred

Ability to read diagrams, manuals, and specifications
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment; must be able to lift, bend, climb, and stand for long periods. Work involves both independent and team-based tasks.
