Nesco Resource has partnered our client which has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to develop manufacturing processes planning and coordinate the production of complex machines, mechanical, and welded assemblies. Must be able to understand customer PO Requirements, specifications, and evaluate machine part and assembly engineering drawings to understand the processes to produce the part. Driving the process from start to finish.
Duties include develop machining and assembly processes, operation sheets and tooling. Recognize customer quality and inspection requirements. Must have a comprehensive understanding of CAD and has working with CAD drawings. Autodesk products a plus. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer. Experience with engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and close tolerance manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing process planning and inspection reports for all orders. Coordinate all paperwork such as certifications, process control sheets, inspection reports and job closeouts.
- Daily meetings with Production Control to ensure all tooling and process documentation are correct for operators.
- Formulated and implement gage calibration and inspection report system.
- Troubleshoot various processes and disposition deviant material.
- Coordinate major projects to improve key performance metrics.
- Communicate with team members, customers, and management.
- Periodically perform engineering CAD work using SolidWorks.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
B.S degree in an engineering discipline highly preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 5 years of manufacturing experience in a machining environment.
- Experience working in an ISO 9000 environment.
- Strong computer skills - knowledge of E2 Shop Floor Control a plus.
- First-hand experience with CAD software a plus. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment.
