The Electrician will install, repair and maintain the electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Responsibilities:
•Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
•Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment.
•Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
•Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
•Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
•Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
•Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
•Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
•Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
•Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
•Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
•Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
•Ability to support with facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties
•Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage.
•Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment.
•Must be certified in the operation of a pallet jack and/or fork lift.
•Understanding of machine specific lockout/tagout procedures.
•Must have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.
•Performs other duties as assigned

Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience is required
Associate/2-Year Technical Degree is required
Work Experience:
A minimum of 5-7 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Certification/Licensure Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J); a second related Journeyman's License; or Equivalent military experience or Completion of 60 Credit Hours Electrical is required.
Forklift and Palate Jack Certification is preferred
