Position Summary
The Shipping & Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, shipping coordination, and logistics activities to support efficient customer fulfillment and operational performance. This role partners with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to ensure timely and accurate shipments while maintaining a safe, organized, and cost-effective operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and promote workplace safety initiatives and compliance programs
- Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliation activities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer and production requirements
- Optimize warehouse organization, storage utilization, and material flow
- Monitor shipping schedules and adjust priorities as business needs change
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and operational standards
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and shipping personnel
- Ensure accurate inventory transactions and reporting through warehouse and inventory systems
- Manage material handling equipment inspections and operational readiness
- Identify and resolve operational or system-related issues in a timely manner
- Support compliance with company quality, environmental, and safety policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer service, supply chain, and logistics teams
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in warehousing, shipping, logistics, or distribution operations
- 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience working with warehouse or inventory management systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management software
- Experience leading teams in a high-volume operation
