The IoTMS Technician III is responsible for the configuration and troubleshooting of technology devices and onboarding of new products and offerings. This role involves programming devices to ensure optimal performance, conducting tests to verify functionality, and kitting and packing devices for shipment. The technician collaborates with stakeholders such as the engineering and quality teams to enhance device configuration efficiency and accuracy while maintaining thorough documentation of adherence to all processes.
Essential Functions
- Ensure cost-effective testing, configuration, imaging, kitting, packing processes for shipment of customer orders.
- Optimize refurbishing and/or repair of wireless devices, using inventory and time efficiently.
- Configure wireless communication devices and other related hardware quickly and accurately.
- Ensure optimal performance by adjusting settings and performing necessary calibrations.
- Complete accurate shipment of orders for delivery on time.
- Streamline device return, configuration, and order preparation processes.
- Follow documented procedures for device testing, repair, refurbishing, imaging and configuration.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to share best practices and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Provide Technical process support and training to Production personnel
- Maintain knowledge on OEM specific HW, Connectivity, and applicable Platforms
- Conduct Production Feasibility Assessment.
- Provide time studies pertaining to Production processes.
- Support process improvement initiatives and activities.
- Provide engineering support to determine root cause and implement corrective actions on internal and customer related manufacturing problems.
- Troubleshoot technical/process issues.
- Engage in continuous personal development by seeking feedback and participating in training opportunities.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and training sessions to improve collective skills and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3 years' experience in a technical and/or manufacturing role preferred.
- Experience writing, testing, or debugging software.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and computer hardware.
- Experience working in an ISO (9001 & 13485) environment.
- Ability to read and analyze information and data and perform basic math.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience providing technical customer service, such as tech support and/or installation/repair service preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
