Job Summary:
The Superba Heat Set Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Superba Heat Set equipment, including tightening rolls, to process various fiber types used in carpet manufacturing. This role ensures consistent product quality, optimal machine performance, and adherence to safety and production standards.
Key Responsibilities: REQUIRED 2-3YEARS OF MANUFACTUIRNG
- Operate Superba Heat Set machines to process fibers including nylon, acrylic, wool, polypropylene, and polyester (PET)
- Monitor and adjust machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed to ensure proper heat setting and product quality
- Inspect and maintain tightening rolls to ensure durability and performance under varying production conditions
- Load and unload materials, ensuring correct fiber types and batch specifications are used
- Perform routine checks on machine components, including side plates, lamellas, bearings, counter bands, and steel belts
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Assist with tightening roll changes, including roll exchange and installation of recovered or newly manufactured cores
- Maintain accurate production records and report any quality or mechanical issues
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of heated equipment and materials
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure efficient workflow
