SHIFT: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 2:30 AM (Monday–Friday)-10hrs.
PAY: Weekly Paycheck

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Tablet Press Operator is responsible for all activities related to the production of quality tablets as per formula instructions. Also, responsible for adhering to SOPs and GMPs to ensure that the quality and quantity of product produced conforms to company standards. Works under the general direction of production management.
This position is a safety-sensitive position. Safety-sensitive positions are defined as positions where the employee operates, repairs, maintains or monitors the performance or operation of a motor vehicle, equipment, machinery, or power tools. Safety-sensitive positions also include jobs where the tasks or duties required of the employee could affect the safety or health of the employee performing the task or others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS:
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
• Follow good health and hygiene practices including gowning
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices
• Follow procedures for changing gloves in between products and as needed
• Maintaining a constant visual of safety, SOPs, and GMP procedures
• Set-up, calibrate and operate tableting machine
• Clean and sanitize tablet press and tableting room
• Wear personnel protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Follow specific instructions on batch production record to produce quality tablets
• Neatly and accurately record all required information on batch production record as required
• Record tablet weight, hardness, thickness on batch production record using good documentation practices
• Properly identify all containers of tableted product
• Properly use and care for equipment and materials in work area
• Follow all safety and company policies on a daily basis
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work
• All other duties as assigned
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Perform sensory evaluation of the tablet including, smell, color and shape
• Properly operate a hand truck and barrel cart
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
• Ability to read and interpret English documents such as operating instruction manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Must have a good working knowledge of calculators and scales
• Good mechanical skills
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
• The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds and move 200 pounds
• Manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to follow direction
• Stand and walk on hard surfaces for up to 4 hours at a time
• Reach, lift and stack product weighing 5–15 lbs repeatedly
• Use hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, hammer and snips
• Fine motor skills to use calipers and hardness tester with precision and accuracy
• Able to see/read details at close range (within 1 foot)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:
• High School Degree or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing work experience preferred
• Work experience using mechanical tools, such as wrench, pliers, hammer, etc
