Job Overview:
Join as a Mechanical Engineer and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to advancing aerospace technology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support mechanical systems, testing initiatives, and hydraulic applications in our R&D Test Lab. Collaborate closely with experienced engineers to enhance lab capabilities, conduct critical development and certification testing, and contribute to innovative aerospace projects. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the R&D Lab team by taking direction from senior engineers on active projects.
• Design pressure, flow, and spray test stands and upgrades, focusing on improved automation using control valves and pressure & flow sensors.
• Develop and improve test stand control hardware and safety circuitry to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Participate actively in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to various functions as needed.
• Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Support fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture.

Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Hands-On Skills: Experience in mechanical systems design, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
• Communication: Excellent skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise scientific documentation abilities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to Parker facilities, local universities, and suppliers.
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Person.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's/Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience with mechatronics/automation; test instrumentation and data acquisition, solder/fabrication equipment.
• Programming/analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, and/or ANSYS.

Leveling Guide:
• Mechanical Engineer I: Meets required qualifications; supports tasks and projects with guidance; builds proficiency in test stand design, testing, and documentation.
• Mechanical Engineer II: Demonstrates increased autonomy; leads small-to-medium lab projects or workstreams; delivers complete test solutions (design through validation/documentation); typically 2 years of relevant experience.
