The Property Manager position requires knowledge and skills in managing and maintaining the functioning of a clean, healthy property environment – inside and outside. This is a large, church property and grounds. Good people skills and the ability to handle different kinds of personalities are essential. Under the direction of the Rector, this position will cultivate a welcoming and caring work environment for the parish members and community at large. By participating in regular consultations with the Rector and staff meetings, this person will share in the leadership of the parish by way of property upkeep, hospitality, communication, and professionalism. This position is key to a healthy functioning parish and staff wellness. Because this position works closely with the Rector, the Property Manager must be well-versed in, and able to practice confidentiality.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Monitor, report and resolve any property issues, as well as safety protocols of the property
- Fix or contract for property repairs
- Building maintenance including small repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
- Maintenance of property-related equipment
- Skillsets include proper use of tools, ladders, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to schedule repairs, inspections, and upgrades in a timely manner
- Provide complete cleaning services for the building and outside property
- Contact for property related outside services
- Obtain, manage, and communicate all property related quotes
- Possess basic computer and email skills
- Manage annual property contracts:
- Snow removal
- Lawn mowing
- Landscape
- Other
- Oversee and/or implement set-up of rooms for special events based on requests
- Effectively schedule and follow through on projects
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers regarding property issues and activities
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Rector as needed
- Possess good communication and people skills
- Be on call for issues that happen outside normal working hours
