Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment
- Reassemble machines after repairs or preventive maintenance work is completed
- Start and test machinery after repairs to verify proper operation and efficiency
- Inspect damaged machine parts, identify defects, and communicate repair needs to supervisors
- Lubricate machines, components, and equipment according to maintenance schedules and procedures
- Install, replace, and adjust machine parts and attachments to meet production requirements
- Dismantle machines and remove components for repair or replacement
- Read work orders and specifications to determine maintenance priorities and repair needs
- Set up and operate machines as needed while adjusting controls to regulate operations
- Record production, repair, and maintenance activity accurately in logs or database systems
- Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to repair or relocate equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Apprenticeship or technical training preferred
- 1–2 years of maintenance mechanic or related industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of machines, tools, repair methods, and preventive maintenance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently
- Familiarity with email systems and preventive maintenance database software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability in a manufacturing environment
