Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for a Production Associate for our client in Sterling Heights, MI.
Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday through Saturday
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Position Summary
Level 1 Production Associates perform a variety of general labor tasks involved in the manufacturing of brake pads, specifically focused on applying friction materials and supporting production operations. Associates may be assigned to different workstations and will be cross-trained to ensure flexibility and efficiency across the production line.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and load/unload parts as required
- Inspect parts for quality as they come off the production line
- Package finished products and prepare them for shipment
- Maintain clean and organized workstations and equipment
- Follow all work instructions, processes, and safety procedures
- Rotate between workstations as needed
- Report any safety, quality, or equipment issues to supervisors immediately
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail with accurate and legible documentation skills
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus
Work Expectations
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance; overtime may be required
- Meet production goals for quality and output
- Inspect and evaluate parts according to training standards
- Adhere to the "stop at first defect” quality philosophy
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment
- Ability to lift 20–35 lbs depending on workstation
