Are you looking for a part time role to help make an impact in Williamsport? We are hiring for a part time custodian to fill an immediate need.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains physical appearance and safety of grounds by mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, raking, sweeping, back-filling, and bagging trash and debris. Keep sidewalks and entryways free of snow and ice.
- Performs general landscape work where assigned.
- Uses and keeps in good repair (or reports problems): mowers, weed-eaters, blowers, hedge-trimmers, vacuums, buffers, and hand tools.
- Maintains physical appearance and safety of buildings by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing and polishing floors.
- Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies. Empties trash cans.
- Dusts and polishes furniture, window ledges, banisters, ceilings, and light fixtures.
- Washes windows and walls and changes light bulbs as needed; lighting pilot lights; providing entry for locked-out residents.
- Performs general cleaning and minor repairs in preparing vacated units for occupancy, such as cleaning and painting.
- Plunge sinks, toilets, and unblock drains when needed.
- Attend all required staff training and safety meetings; report all injuries and illnesses to supervisor immediately; report hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices to supervisor; and follow all safety and health guidelines, practices, policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
Licenses
Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Driver's license and fully insurable driving record. Candidate will also be required to obtain clearances.
Working Hours 7am to Noon, Monday thru Friday.
Starting wage is $15.00 per hour.
