Job Title: Planner I
Location: Orlando, FL (On-site)
Pay: Based on experience
Position Summary:
The Planner I is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules using ERP systems to ensure customer orders are executed accurately and on time. This role ensures materials are properly planned, shortages are managed, and production schedules align with operational capacity. The Planner I also reviews expedites, customer changes, and system portals to ensure alignment with the master production plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, firm, and/or create production orders for assigned work centers
- Coordinate production schedules using ERP/MRP systems to meet delivery timelines
- Analyze and adjust plans based on customer changes, expedites, and system updates
- Identify and resolve material shortages in collaboration with internal teams
- Assign jobs to work centers based on capacity and resource availability
- Perform ERP transactions to support production flow, inventory movement, and order completion
- Communicate planning issues and updates with cross-functional departments
- Support the Master Planner with daily planning and coordination activities
- Assist Shipping & Receiving as needed to maintain operational continuity
- Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within planning processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with 5S and GMP standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field preferred (or 2-year technical degree)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or ERP-related roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of BOMs and electronics manufacturing is a plus
- Must be eligible to work with ITAR-controlled data
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based, on-site role
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
- Occasional walking or movement within office or production areas
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
- May require schedule flexibility based on operational needs
- Must follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace
