Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Group Leader to oversee multiple production lines within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading line operations, supporting production teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 3 production lines, each supported by a Production Line Leader
- Lead and support production teams to meet daily operational goals
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Monitor production performance including cost, productivity, and efficiency
- Coordinate line activities including startup, changeovers, and shutdowns
- Ensure all materials and supplies are available for production runs
- Track and document production metrics and reports
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor adjustments/repairs as needed
- Analyze line performance and identify areas for improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 6S, standard work)
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members and line leaders
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Hands-on experience as a Machine Operator or Production Operator preferred
- Strong understanding of production processes and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, production systems, etc.)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Additional Requirements
- Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Monday to Friday 11am to 8pm
Once a month – a Saturday
