1st Shift - CNC Operator
Location: Tulsa
Shift: Monday - Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
A growing manufacturing operation in Tulsa is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join a high-performing machine shop team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on machining experience who enjoys running equipment, making on-machine edits, and producing quality parts to tight tolerances.
This is a highly practical role with a strong focus on machine operation and real-time adjustments. Approximately 95% of the position is operating, setup, and editing programs at the machine, with occasional programming in Fusion 360 for new or custom jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to produce precision metal components
- Edit existing CNC programs at the machine to improve efficiency, accuracy, and output
- Create new programs in Fusion 360 when required for non-repeat or custom orders
- Safely operate mills, drill presses, band saws, and related machining equipment
- Machine parts to required tolerances and quality standards
- Drill, bore, ream, mill, countersink, notch, tap, and perform other machining functions on metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Select, monitor, and maintain tooling for optimal machine performance
- Track production schedules and report completed work accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
- Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- 2 years of CNC machining and/or programming experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Strong experience with CNC setup, operation, and machine-side program editing
- Working knowledge of Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining best practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a production environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNC certification is a plus
