Overview
Client is seeking a senior SAP Solution Architect with deep SAP FICO/RTR expertise to support enterprise ERP transformation initiatives. This role will lead end-to-end solution design, align business requirements with scalable SAP architecture, and provide architectural guidance across the full project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong S/4HANA finance expertise, proven large-scale implementation experience, and the ability to influence both business and IT stakeholders in a complex manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities
Lead solution design sessions and develop end-to-end SAP solutions for complex business needs
Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant, and future-ready SAP architecture
Provide architectural leadership across design, build, test, and deployment phases
Define and maintain ERP solution roadmaps, standards, and reusable architecture patterns
Support large-scale ERP transformation and SAP S/4HANA implementation efforts
Drive best practices, standardization, and governance across finance solution design
Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to align architecture with enterprise goals
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve high-priority issues, including urgent transport changes as needed
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
10 years of SAP and ERP experience, including large-scale S/4HANA programs
At least 3 end-to-end S/4HANA implementation engagements
Strong hands-on expertise in SAP FICO / RTR and core finance processes
Strong understanding of S/4HANA finance architecture, including Universal Journal and FI/CO integration
Experience with SAP integrations across modules and external systems
Strong experience in solution design, blueprinting, and architecture governance
Experience supporting manufacturing environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of Product Costing and Material Ledger, including standard costing, actual costing, cost rollups, and variance analysis
Experience with Investment Management, including CapEx planning, budgeting, and integration with CO and FI-AA
Expertise in FI processes including AP, AR, Business Partner, payments, credit management, dunning, and cash application
Experience with Asset Accounting, including AuC, capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle processes
Strong Controlling experience, including Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders, allocations, WIP, and settlements
Experience with period-end close, compliance, parallel ledgers, document splitting, reporting, and tax integration
Cross-functional integration experience with MM, SD, PP, PS, and external systems
Preferred Skills or Experience
SAP certifications in FICO and/or S/4HANA
Experience with ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs
Exposure to SAP BTP, analytics, or cloud-based SAP solutions
Experience using AI tools or resources to support solution design
Strategic, analytical, and self-driven approach with the ability to influence across business and IT teams
Work Details
Remote opportunity open to candidates across the U.S.; EST support required
Candidates within 2-3 hours of Charlotte, NC or the preferred New York location are preferred
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required for global teams
Expected to support MST for approximately 6 months during the project
One-year anticipated assignment with possible extension
No travel required
Two interview rounds: video interview with team lead, followed by panel video interview with the technical team
