Nesco Data Center is seeking a Data Center Device Rewire Technician.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Rewiring Technician to support a medium-term project focused on cooling system components within a data center environment. This role involves performing standardized electrical wire swaps on prefabricated, non-energized (not live) cooling units. The ideal candidate is highly efficient, organized, and capable of executing repetitive tasks with precision across hundreds of devices while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical wire swaps and rewiring on prefabricated cooling system components.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure consistency and quality across a high volume of devices.
  • Safely handle and work on equipment that is not powered or energized.
  • Maintain detailed logs of all work performed, including device identification, date/time stamps, and scope completed.
  • Replicate the same scope of work across multiple units with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure all work meets project standards, safety guidelines, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with project leads to report progress, issues, or discrepancies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with basic electrical work, low-voltage wiring, or similar hands-on technical tasks.
  • Ability to follow repeatable processes with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet project timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in documentation and logging.
  • Must provide own tools required for electrical rewiring tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured data center environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a data center or on mechanical/cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with structured documentation or asset tracking systems.
  • Basic understanding of data center infrastructure and best practices.

Work Environment:

  • Data center setting with a focus on mechanical/cooling equipment.
  • Work performed on non-live systems (no energized electrical work required).
  • Repetitive, task-based work across a large quantity of devices.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable technician who thrives in structured, process-driven environments and can deliver consistent, high-quality results over the course of a multi-month project.
