The Inspector / Rewind Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining slitter rewinder equipment
- Machine Operator experience necessary.
- Must be able to measure in both metric and standard (M/CM/MM and inches/feet).
- Must be able to lift a max of 50lb occasionally, 40lb frequently.
Key Responsibilities • Set up and operate slitter-rewinder machines according to job specifications. • Inspect printed labels for accuracy, quality, and defects throughout the production run. • Read and interpret job jackets, production instructions, and label templates (LT sheets). • Maintain proper machine tension during unwind/rewind processes. • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and production issues; escalate major malfunctions to Maintenance or the Finishing Manager. • Insert correct core labels and ensure proper packaging per job specifications. • Maintain accurate production records and enter data into the company's manufacturing software system. • Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of assigned equipment and work area. • Follow all company safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures. •
