The Trainer is an integral member of the Operations team responsible for delivering and supporting training programs that equip the manufacturing and shop floor workforce with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The position plays an important role in new hire onboarding, ongoing skills development, and the reinforcement of standard operating procedures on the shop floor. Pay Rate: $28-$33/hrSchedule: 1st Shift M-F
Type: 6 Month Contract (potential of extension)
- Deliver training programs for manufacturing and shop floor personnel, including new hire onboarding, process-specific skills training, and refresher courses
- Develop a solid understanding of company manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards to ensure accurate and consistent training delivery
- Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials including lesson plans, job aids, competency checklists, and training records
- Support the evaluation of training effectiveness through assessments and observation, providing feedback to Senior Trainers to help improve training content and delivery
- Reinforce Lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor, including 5S, standard work, visual controls, and safe work practices
- Partner with Process and Industrial Engineers to stay current on procedure updates and incorporate changes into training delivery in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
- Support Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives by delivering targeted training to reinforce process changes
- Build positive relationships with shop floor employees and Operations colleagues to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- BS in Education, Instructional Design, Engineering, or a STEM-related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 2–5 years' experience in a training, manufacturing, or operations role
- Direct experience working in or training within a manufacturing or shop floor environment preferred
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools including 5S, standard work, and visual management
- Experience developing or delivering training materials such as SOPs, work instructions, or job aids preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software; experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to present technical content in a clear and accessible manner
- Ability to manage multiple training assignments concurrently
