Shipping Team Member - 2nd Shift
Hours: 5:15PM-2:00AM
SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for the transportation and movement of racks of finished goods door. Heavy lifting/pushing and fork lift certification is a requirement for this position. Taking direction and moving the parts with limited oversite is necessary. This person must be able to verify the door type matches the production instruction kanban, and the doors are in sequence.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload empty racks from tractor trailers by hand.
- Verify doors match kanban.
- Verify doors are in sequence.
- Load racks on to tractor trailers by hand
- Remove door bags from racks.
- Use tugger to take empty racks to assembly areas
- Use tugger to take full racks from assembly to sequence area
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Forklift Experience required
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, manipulate and feel objects, tools or controls. Basic hand-eye coordination, balance and motor skills also are necessary. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, carry items, stoop, bend, squat and reach with hands and arms (to heights of approximately seven feet above floor level). Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of 50-100 pounds is required, as is some pushing and pulling of objects weighing up to 800 pounds with an approximate push force of up to 50 lbs. Operation of powered industrial vehicles is generally required. Capable of standing for periods of time.
Intellectual Requirements
Minimum requirements for this position include a High School Education, basic computer knowledge, and ability to check doors to Kanban instructions.
Communication Requirements
The job also requires frequent spoken communications, including talking and hearing, both in person and via telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Situational Requirements
The employee must consistently appear for work at the appointed time and place, and work at least eight consecutive hours per day, five days per week. The individual must be able to work efficiently in both office and warehouse settings, both alone and in groups of up to 5 persons.
