Nesco Resource is looking for an Assembler located in Brookfield, CT. This is a contract position expected to last 2-3 months (Could be longer) for the right candidate.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM
Pay: $20-$22/hour depending on experience
Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for sub-assembly, repair work, and final assembly of mechanical and electromechanical products in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and standard toolbox equipment, can follow work instructions, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sub-assembly, repair, and final assembly of components and finished products
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and toolbox equipment safely and effectively
- Read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and SOPs
- Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for accuracy and quality
- Maintain proper tool organization and a clean workstation
- Support rework, testing, and final product preparation as needed
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet deadlines
- Assist with inventory of assembly parts, hardware, and tools
- 1 years of assembly experience in manufacturing, production, or mechanical assembly
- Strong experience using hand tools, drills, screwdrivers, torque tools, wrenches, sockets, and general toolbox equipment
- Experience with sub-assembly and final assembly processes
- Ability to perform repair and rework on assembled products
- Comfortable reading blueprints, work instructions, or engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- High school diploma or GED preferred
