Nesco Resource is looking for an Electrical Assembler located in Bethel, CT. This is a contract position for the right candidate. Expected duration is roughly 2-3 months (could be more).
Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
Pay: $23-$28/hour depending on experience
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team focused on advanced portable energy and battery storage equipment. This role is responsible for assembling electrical components, control panels, wire harnesses, and system subassemblies used in industrial mobile power systems. The ideal candidate has experience reading schematics, routing wiring cleanly, and assembling electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical panels, enclosures, and subassemblies according to blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Route, terminate, label, and secure wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors
- Install electrical components including relays, breakers, switches, contactors, terminal blocks, and power distribution hardware
- Perform point-to-point wiring and low/high-voltage electrical assembly
- Mount components to back panels, cabinets, and mobile equipment frames
- Use hand tools, power tools, crimpers, torque tools, and test equipment
- Verify completed assemblies meet quality standards and engineering specifications
- Conduct continuity checks, basic troubleshooting, and functional testing
- Support final system integration and electrical troubleshooting during build process
- Maintain clean and organized workstations while following safety procedures
- Assist with inventory organization, kitting, and material staging as needed
- 2 years of electrical assembly, panel wiring, or electro-mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with wire stripping, crimping, cable routing, and connector termination
- Familiarity with electrical components such as PLC I/O, breakers, relays, fuses, and terminal blocks
- Comfortable using multimeters and other electrical testing tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, power systems, renewable energy, or generator-related equipment is highly preferred
- Experience with battery systems, inverters, or energy storage equipment is a plus
