Summary: Nesco Resource is hiring an Entry-Level Packer/Assembler for a growing manufacturing company located on a convenient bus line in Rochester, NY. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in manufacturing with no prior experience required. You will receive on-the-job training to assemble precision instruments and support daily production goals in a team-oriented environment.

Shift: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

  • Includes:
    • Two paid 15-minute breaks
    • One unpaid lunch break

Pay: $16.50/Hour (Flexibility For Candidates W/ QC OR QA Experience)


Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and package various sizes of bi-metal thermometers and digital temperature devices.
  • Perform basic adjustments and minor repairs to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Follow written work instructions, inspection plans, and production procedures.
  • Rotate between different assembly stations as needed to support workflow.
  • Accurately record production information using the SyteLine system.
  • Communicate any quality or production concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Assist team members to meet daily production goals and improve department efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute feedback for process improvements.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and adherence to company policies.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous assembly experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and learn new processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic comfort using computers or production tracking systems preferred.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more)
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly tasks
  • Occasional stooping, bending, or kneeling
  • Lifting up to 15 lbs. as needed
  • Vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and depth perception
