Job Title: Packaging/Assembly Associate
Location: Rochester, NY
Summary: Nesco Resource is hiring an Entry-Level Packer/Assembler for a growing manufacturing company located on a convenient bus line in Rochester, NY. Shift: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Includes:
- Two paid 15-minute breaks
- One unpaid lunch break
Pay: $16.50/Hour (Flexibility For Candidates W/ QC OR QA Experience)
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assemble and package various sizes of bi-metal thermometers and digital temperature devices.
- Perform basic adjustments and minor repairs to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Follow written work instructions, inspection plans, and production procedures.
- Rotate between different assembly stations as needed to support workflow.
- Accurately record production information using the SyteLine system.
- Communicate any quality or production concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Assist team members to meet daily production goals and improve department efficiency.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute feedback for process improvements.
- Maintain consistent attendance and adherence to company policies.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous assembly experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written instructions and learn new processes.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic comfort using computers or production tracking systems preferred.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more)
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for detailed assembly tasks
- Occasional stooping, bending, or kneeling
- Lifting up to 15 lbs. as needed
- Vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and depth perception
