Facility Contractor Coordinator

Position Summary

The Facilities Contractor Coordinator is responsible for supporting and overseeing contract workers within manufacturing areas, ensuring adherence to procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation standards, and root cause/corrective action processes.

This role requires extensive interaction with both external contractors and internal plant personnel to ensure all contractor projects align with safety, quality, and compliance expectations while minimizing operational risk.


Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to all Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety & Energy (EHS&E) policies, global standards, and engineering requirements
  • Maintain awareness of potential risks, defects, and failure modes related to process changes
  • Identify and escalate compliance risks and support corrective actions

Contractor Oversight

  • Oversee all on-site contractor activities with a focus on EHS&S and GMP compliance
  • Ensure contractor work aligns with safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Monitor contractor performance and adherence to procedures

Training & Communication

  • Assist in training contract personnel on safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project leaders, technicians, and external partners
  • Prepare and deliver written and verbal communications across cross-functional teams

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between contractors and site leadership or support teams
  • Address gaps and ensure alignment with site expectations and project requirements

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Perform safety and quality inspections (checklists, sanitation procedures, etc.)
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action processes
  • Complete administrative tasks as needed

Scheduling Flexibility

  • Maintain a flexible schedule based on contractor project timelines and operational needs

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), and analytical skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with computer systems/software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment

Preferred

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards related to infant formula and nutritional products
