Overview
Client is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Radar Modeling and Simulation group in Camden, New Jersey. This role focuses on developing high-performance C software that supports radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction, signal processing, and radar control processing within simulation and digital twin environments. The engineer will contribute to system-of-systems solutions that enable high-volume, high-fidelity radar modeling and simulation.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance C software for radar modeling and simulation environments
- Support radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction, signal processing, and radar control processing components
- Build software that integrates with external components in a system-of-systems architecture
- Apply a systems engineering mindset to deliver robust, reliable radar simulation solutions
- Collaborate with technical leads, software architects, and systems architects on design and development efforts
- Contribute to Agile team activities including release planning, sprint planning, and Scrum execution
- Create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively across engineering teams
- Mentor other engineers and help influence technical direction
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field
- 2–5 years of professional experience
- Experience with C or other strong object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#
- Experience working in Agile environments including release planning, sprint planning, and Scrum
- Strong analytical, applied mathematics, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Active Secret clearance or higher
- Ability to work onsite in Camden, NJ at least 4 days per week
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis, and signal processing
- Functional knowledge of radar systems, subsystems, and designs
- Familiarity with design tools used for radar modeling
- Radar systems development experience across algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation
- Technical leadership experience supporting program execution
