Job Title: HR Specialist I
Location: Tolleson, AZ (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Interview Process: One-round video interview via Microsoft Teams (decision made after interview)
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and organized HR Specialist I to support an upcoming hiring ramp. This role provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, with a strong emphasis on recruitment coordination and daily HR office functions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with candidates, employees, and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general HR administrative support, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and record maintenance
- Make outbound and inbound phone calls to candidates
- Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
- Support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communications
- Assist with planning and execution of hiring events (job fairs, open houses, community events, etc.)
- Prepare materials for hiring events (applications, signage, informational packets)
- Maintain accurate tracking of candidates and hiring activity in HR systems and/or spreadsheets
- Support onboarding logistics for new hires as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies and HR best practices
- Perform additional HR-related administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (strongly preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in a business support or administrative role (HR experience preferred but not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling high-volume communication (phone, email, text)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting high-volume or ramp hiring initiatives
- Experience coordinating or assisting with hiring events or job fairs
- Previous HR support experience
