Overview
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Real-Time Software Engineer to support the development, testing, and integration of software for advanced embedded systems in a real-time environment. This role is based onsite in Orlando, Florida and will support the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing. The ideal candidate brings deep Ada programming experience, strong embedded systems expertise, and an active Secret clearance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, test, and integrate embedded real-time software applications
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and formal qualification testing
  • Support software development in Ada within an embedded real-time environment
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Assist with software and hardware integration efforts
  • Contribute to unit testing and validation activities
  • Support CI/CD and software delivery processes where applicable

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 6 years of real-time embedded software development experience
  • 6 years of Ada programming, software development, and software maintenance experience
  • Active Secret security clearance required at time of submission and start
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle in embedded environments

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience with Linux and/or VxWorks operating systems
  • Integration and test experience involving both software and hardware
  • Experience working as a software engineer on multi-disciplined teams
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with GoogleTest or similar unit testing tools
