1st Shift Kit Assembler (Temp-to-Hire) – Shelton, CT
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (9-hour shifts), Friday (4-hour shift – early finish)
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kit Assembler to support our manufacturing team by preparing accurate kits of parts and materials for production. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, pick lists, and production schedules
- Pull and organize components from inventory for specific jobs
- Verify part numbers and quantities to ensure accuracy
- Package, label, and stage kits for the production floor
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report inventory discrepancies or shortages
- Assist with cycle counts and stock rotation
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse/kitting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer or scanner skills a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
