Education Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or other scientific discipline

Required Experience and Skills
Minimum two years of quality or laboratory experience in pharmaceutical industry, or advanced degree
Capable of working shift work (12 hours shifts with daylight and night shift coverage)
Effective communication and decision making skills
Experience with laboratory instrumentation and bench testing

Preferred Experience and Skills
Previous experience with laboratory data management systems
Proficient in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation

Note:
This position operates on a 12-hour rotating shift, with third shift and weekend coverage.
Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating shift; days and nights (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am).
IMPORTANT: ** Expected to work in an environment with potential beta-lactam antibiotic exposure **

Job Description:
Our Quality Control group ensures every single material inside our products is manufactured, processed, tested, packaged, stored and distributed aligned with our incredibly high standards of quality and meets all regulatory requirements.
Partnering across our internal manufacturing facilities, external contract manufacturers and suppliers, we create an interdependent global manufacturing network dedicated to delivering a compliant, reliable supply to customers and patients on time, every time, across the globe.

The shift supervisor will supervise a team of laboratory technicians performing analytical testing on in-process and water samples. Instrumentation includes KF, IR, GC, HPLC, UPLC, and others. This position routinely participates in laboratory related activities such as second person review of the laboratory technicians work, microplate assay testing, and instrument troubleshooting.

This position operates on a 12-hour rotating shift, with third shift and weekend coverage.

Primary Responsibilities
Performs second person review of in-process and water sample testing using methods such as GC, TOC, conductivity, titrations, turbidimetric spectroscopy, and microbial filtration
Performs review of paper documents as well as review of electronic records
Assists with laboratory GMP activities by performing instrument troubleshooting.
Interacts with and understands Empower, various data acquisition/management software for stand-alone laboratory systems, and LIMS
