Manufacturing/Estimating Engineer
Position Overview
The selected candidate is responsible for providing accurate and complete information to manufacturing and quality personnel for each job processed. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of projects while meeting customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quoting components and assemblies in accordance with all customer specifications.
- Planning components and assemblies for manufacturing and inspection.
- Developing manufacturing and inspection processes in line with GCA policies and procedures, ensuring first-time product conformity without compromising on-time delivery.
- Communicating manufacturing processes effectively to the relevant teams to ensure smooth execution.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of CAD programs, such as CATIA & SOLIDWORKS
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- A minimum of 3 consecutive years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (working in an estimating/engineering capacity is preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners
The physical and environmental requirements:
- The Estimating Engineer must be willing to assist in troubleshooting manufacturing and inspection processes as needed
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
