Job Title: Senior Operator, Fluids Manufacturing
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is hiring an experienced Senior Fluids Manufacturing Operator to support production operations within a global diagnostics manufacturing environment in Rochester, NY. This role is ideal for experienced operators who are comfortable working under GMP guidelines and are capable of mentoring team members while ensuring production goals and quality standards are met.

This position offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a highly regulated manufacturing setting.

Shift(s):

  • B Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hour (based on experience)


Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute manufacturing processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment to produce work-in-process and finished goods.
  • Collect product samples for downstream quality testing.
  • Complete accurate documentation including batch records, logbooks, and GMP forms.
  • Use ERP or SAP systems to perform material tracking and inventory transactions.
  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate equipment in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Train and mentor operators on procedures, equipment, and best practices.
  • Support workflow planning and help prioritize production schedules.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 4–6 years of manufacturing or industry experience required.
  • Strong understanding of GMP or regulated production environments preferred.
  • Experience operating packaging, filling, or processing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP/SAP systems preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, sitting: > 75% of the time
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.: occasionally
  • Frequent lifting between 21–30 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull wheeled equipment up to 800 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and repetitive motion required

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment
  • Exposure to biological materials or chemicals: < 25%
  • GMP-regulated production setting
  • Working near mechanical equipment: > 75%
  • Use of required PPE
  • Overtime or weekend work may be required based on production demands
