Set up, operate, and tend to many machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together.
Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.- Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister
- Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation
- Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs
- Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container
- Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation
- Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements
- Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn
