Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Technician

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Technician to support our client's quality operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, data integrity, and laboratory efficiency across all stages of production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead timely investigations and implement corrective actions for quality-related complaints and issues, ensuring excellent internal and external customer service
  • Manage QC laboratory operations, including prioritization, service levels, and resource allocation
  • Perform sampling, inspection, and testing to ensure productivity, technical accuracy, and data integrity
  • Analyze statistical data, test results, and product specifications to maintain quality and reliability standards
  • Ensure full compliance with cGMP, federal/state regulations, internal standards, and ALCOA data integrity principles
  • Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to confirm specification conformance
  • Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (COAs), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain calibration, qualification, and performance of laboratory equipment
  • Manage raw material qualification processes and supplier quality expectations
  • Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance on method development, sampling plans, and risk-based testing strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Chemistry or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated QC laboratory
  • Hands-on experience with UPLC, ion chromatography, Metrohm titration, and spectrophotometry
  • Strong understanding of investigations, CAPA, change control, and data integrity (ALCOA )
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Chempax, Oracle, or similar)
