Production Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime Required)
Position Summary
The Production Technician is a key contributor to the manufacturing operation, supporting the assembly and production of electro-mechanical systems and components. This role requires hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment and is dedicated to meeting production goals efficiently and safely.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform hand assembly of sub-systems and components (electro-mechanical assemblies)
- Read, interpret, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
- Operate manual hand tools and power tools for assembly and validation tasks
- Use material handling equipment, including manual and electric pallet jacks
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with systems, sub-systems, and components
- Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Complete required manufacturing documentation accurately
- Assist in training new employees on assembly, repair, rework, and testing processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience (electro-mechanical preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Experience using hand and power tools safely
- Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing production demands
- Basic computer skills with the ability to complete transactions accurately
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
