Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Position Overview
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal performance, product quality, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust manufacturing machinery according to production specifications and work orders
- Monitor machine performance
- Interpret basic technical instructions, blueprints, or production documentation to ensure accurate operation
- Load raw materials into machines and safely remove, inspect, and stage finished products
- Perform routine equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Identify mechanical or operational issues and communicate them promptly to maintenance or supervisory staff
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to transport materials and finished goods safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate production records, including output counts, downtime, and quality checks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in accordance with 5S or similar workplace practices
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating industrial or manufacturing machinery
- Proven experience operating an overhead crane and forklift (certification preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, machine interfaces, or production tracking systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, gauges, and measurement tools
- Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures
