Overview
Client is seeking a Real-Time C/C Embedded Software Engineer to support the development and integration of embedded software running on Linux and real-time operating systems on multi-core processors. This role requires strong hands-on experience across software, firmware, and hardware integration in a structured Agile development environment. Candidates must hold an active Secret Clearance and be available to work onsite full time in Orlando, Florida.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and enhance embedded real-time software using C and C in Linux and RTOS environments
Design and implement object-oriented software solutions for multi-core processor platforms
Support software, firmware, and hardware integration activities across the development lifecycle
Collaborate within Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies
Contribute to source control and development workflows using GitLab and Bitbucket
Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and performance improvement of embedded systems
Support development activities aligned with quality, integration, and deployment standards
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
5 years of experience in C/C embedded real-time development
5 years of object-oriented software development experience in Linux environments on multi-core processors
5 years of hands-on software, firmware, and hardware development and integration experience
5 years of experience working in Agile development environments such as Scrum or Kanban
Hands-on experience using GitLab and Bitbucket
Active Secret Clearance required at start
Preferred Skills or Experience
Knowledge of C design patterns for embedded software development
Experience with Yocto
Familiarity with DDS middleware
Exposure to containerized development and deployment
Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes, including CI/CD and automated testing
