Job Title: Inventory Control Associate

Position Overview
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing physical counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting operational improvements. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally chaotic environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records
- Compare inventory data against sales orders, production records, and purchase invoices
- Verify clerical computations and adjust discrepancies as needed
- Investigate and report inventory variances and root causes
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate inventory reports, including balances, shortages, and discrepancies
- Communicate findings to internal stakeholders and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
Operational Support
- Identify and report defective, unusable, or depleted inventory items
- Prepare lists of items requiring replenishment or review
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance inventory accuracy and processes
Work Environment

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of related inventory, warehouse, or distribution experience
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing or distribution environments
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
- Familiarity with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)
