Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

. Job OverviewMaintains quality standards by ensuring that the incoming materials are approved; Approves the production run settings, and performs in-process checks during production runs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor. 3. Compare the last parts to the first parts that were approved to ensure product consistency.
- Approves finish work and by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Fill out job travelers, time sheets, inspection documents, and any other paperwork associated with the part.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into a quality database.
- Check parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper gauges.
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs, maintaining records of calibrations, and maintaining up-to-date calibration on all tools.
- Maintains all quality charts and graphs that display company goals for internal rejects, external rejects, and on-time delivery.
- Maintains all quality records such as PPAP's FAI's Etc.
- Ensure welders are certified for the projects they are working on.
- Maintain welder certification records.
- Reevaluate welders when required to maintain their certification.
- Create and maintain training folders for each employee.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Preferred qualifications:
Candidate must have some or all of the following Educational/Technical requirements:
- Must have basic knowledge of how to use measuring tools (i.e., micrometers, calipers, edge finders, calibration concepts, R-R etc.)
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work order instructions.
- Must be forklift certified and understand all safety rules and procedures in proper use of lifts.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers.
- Must have basic math skills.
Candidate must have some or all of the following skills and abilities:
- Must be able to take verbal and written instructions and work from handmade sketches.
- Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.

Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
