Setup Operator

Position Summary: Responsible for the operation of various tools and fabrication machinery and completing minor preventative maintenance in a fast-paste and lean environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set-up and operate tools and fabrication machinery including but not limited to roll form, brake press, punch press, rivet machine, etc. in accordance with OSHA guidelines and safe operating procedures.

Perform minor preventative maintenance on fabrication machinery.

Perform visual quality inspections of parts and address issues/areas of improvement.

Notify management of issues or concerns in a timely manner (e.g. machine malfunctions, inability to meet required schedule, safety concerns/hazards, etc.).

Suggests improvements to promote quality, increase production, and safety.

Maintain a safe, clean, and lean working environment.

Wear personal protection equipment and follow safety procedures.

Follow safety rules, procedures and requirements.

Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Ability to work overtime when needed.

Ability to read and understand work instructions and basic drawings.

Ability to remain results-focused in a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to visually read prints, work orders, production schedules, tape measures and gauges, and inspect machine and parts.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Must have manual dexterity in both hands and the ability to reach with hands and arms.

Ability to stand for long periods of time
