Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate with a background or strong interest in construction, building materials, or interior design. This role is ideal for individuals who understand how products come together in real-world applications and enjoy helping customers bring their home improvement and design projects to life.
As a key member of our team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers—guiding them through product selection, offering practical recommendations, and ensuring an exceptional end-to-end experience.
Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in a professional and consultative manner

Leverage knowledge of construction, building materials, or interior design to recommend appropriate products and solutions

Guide customers through project-based decisions (indoor/outdoor spaces, materials, finishes, layouts, etc.)

Educate customers on product features, benefits, and best-use applications

Build relationships with homeowners, contractors, and design-focused customers

Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing sales floor

Accurately process transactions and manage order details

Meet and exceed sales goals through solution-based selling and product recommendations

Stay current on product offerings, trends, and seasonal promotions
Requirements:

Experience or background in construction, building materials, home improvement, or interior design strongly preferred

Retail or sales experience is a plus, but not required for candidates with relevant industry knowledge

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical or design concepts in a customer-friendly way

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment

Basic computer and data entry skills (Microsoft Office & CRM experience preferred)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Availability to work every other Saturday (no Sundays)
