Overview
Client is seeking an Application Developer to design, implement, and support Quality Management and digital manufacturing solutions across global manufacturing plants. This role is focused on Enterprise Digital Manufacturing Systems, with ETQ Reliance as the primary quality platform.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on application development experience, strong SQL and object-oriented programming skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to work directly with business users and IT teams to build, support, and improve standardized solutions.
Core Responsibilities

Design, configure, implement, and support digital manufacturing and quality management solutions

Support ETQ Reliance-based applications used across global manufacturing sites

Partner with business leaders, users, and IT teams to gather requirements and define solutions

Develop and support complex manufacturing applications and interfaces

Promote standardization and best practices across divisions and solution instances

Troubleshoot applications, systems, and data interfaces
-
Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications

Support data migration from legacy systems to new solutions
-
Provide timely updates, issue resolution, and ongoing customer support

Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices relevant to the supported environment
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

Bachelor's degree required
-
2 years of hands-on application development experience
-
2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with object-oriented programming such as .NET and/or Python
-
SQL scripting experience and experience with relational databases, including SQL Server
-
Ability to work independently across design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including requirements gathering and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong time management, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail
-
Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

Must be ITAR compliant and able to support ITAR-certified environments

Must be a US citizen or US national
Preferred Skills or Experience

Experience with ETQ Reliance configuration and customization

Experience supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Understanding of quality processes such as Document Control, Change Management, Audits, and CAPA

FDA validation experience

Basic project management experience

Server management and hosted application support

REST API and API management experience such as MuleSoft or equivalent

Apache Tomcat experience

Experience supporting digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives
Work Details

Remote position; quiet workspace required for hosting and participating in meetings

Only candidates located in New York or North Carolina may be considered

Candidates must be within a 3-hour commute of Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC
-
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST; some flexibility may be required for global team collaboration

Contract through end of year, with possible extension based on demand
