Job Title: Quality Control Technician (QA Tech)
Location: Lake Wales, FL
Pay: $19/hr
Shift: 1 st , could cover on 2 nd shift, be flexible
Job Summary
The QA Technician implements and monitors quality standards, tests products and processes, troubleshoots issues, and ensures compliance with internal and external regulations. This is a hands-on role in an industrial environment with opportunities to grow your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, finished goods, and samples.
- Document testing procedures, data, and equipment usage accurately.
- Identify quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Calibrate, validate, and maintain lab and QA equipment.
- Reduce color variation and monitor product consistency during production.
- Perform wet and dry product testing according to QC plan (e.g., XRite, AC Ratio, Absorption, Permeability, Gapping, Walkability).
- Conduct visual inspections of processes and finished goods daily.
- Assist with troubleshooting and process improvement projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training/certification preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in QA, QC, or industrial roles.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
- Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and follow processes accurately.
- Prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and repetitive movements.
- Lift/move items up to 50 lbs.
- Work in industrial environment with dust, chemicals, and temperature variations.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, hardhat).
