Overview
Join our team and bring your skills to the forefront by operating and maintaining machines for powder coating and painting a diverse range of products. We are seeking a dedicated individual for a 1st shift position to ensure high-quality finishes and efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare parts by washing, masking, and hanging them for painting.
- Sand and clean parts to ensure optimal paint adhesion, including bondo preparation work.
- Mix paints according to specifications and requirements for various projects.
- Utilize manual painting equipment to apply finishes.
- Maintain paint lines, spray booths, and other related equipment.
- Employ a variety of hand tools such as wrenches, drills, dual-action sanders, and mixing equipment.
- Abrade surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove scale and dirt, using abrasive-blasting equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial painting is mandatory.
- Proficiency in prepping products, using paint sprayers, paint booths, and mixing paints, including powder coating.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, shop orders, and written or verbal instructions from a supervisor.
- Knowledge of EPA guidelines and standard practices related to industrial painting tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with a variety of abrasive media such as glass bead sand, grit, or shot.
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting painting and blasting equipment.
