Key Responsibilities
Assist with all IEA scope development
Assess resource and material needs for approved scope
Build and manage work packages within IPS
Work with Lead Planner and Material Coordinator to procure services and materials
Review and negotiate staffing plans for all IEA resources
Perform quality control on all IEA materials when received
Review turnaround work lists and coordinate IEA activities including instrument calibration, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, electrical equipment, and control systems
Coordinate loop checks, functional testing, and perform QA sign off on all IEA scope items
Ensure proper isolation, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety procedures are followed
Review, escalate, and track instrumentation and electrical inspection findings that may affect turnaround scope or schedule
Track progress of IEA activities and provide daily turnaround status updates to management and scheduler
Support troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical issues discovered during the turnaround
Participate in turnaround planning meetings, readiness reviews, and post-turnaround evaluations
Ensure all documentation, calibration records, and work completion records are properly recorded and closed out
Act as TAR POC for all IEA matters
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate's degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or related field preferred
Experience/Qualification Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas facilities
Minimum 3 years of experience planning or coordinating instrumentation and/or electrical maintenance work
Instrumentation Technician or Electrical Technician background preferred
Experience with process analyzers (gas chromatographs, oxygen analyzers, sulfur analyzers, etc.) preferred
Strong understanding of process instrumentation, electrical systems, and process analyzers used in refinery operations
Experience with DCS systems, PLCs, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and field instrumentation
Experience with scoping out IEA for projects and turnarounds
Familiarity with turnaround planning processes and execution
Ability to coordinate multiple craft disciplines in a fast-paced turnaround environment
Strong communication, organization, and scheduling skills
Experience with DCS platforms
Additional Requirements
Ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during turnaround execution
Must be able to work in an industrial refinery environment including climbing, walking units, and accessing equipment
Must comply with all refinery safety policies and site access requirements
40 hour work week, with OT required during execution phase
On site in Superior, WI
